New Wish for MyLot??

As I am a detail freak every day when we get our earnings I count, subtract and divide to get an idea of how much I earned for each posting I made. However as I am not exactly sure how many postings they counted when calculating the earnings they show on the Earnings page list each days amounts. We have the date, participation, images, referrals and total earnings. I wish, wish, wish they would put a column after the date, showing the number of points = participation $. That would really help to avergage out how much you got paid for x number of points.
This would help eliminate all those bullsheet discussios where people claim to have Made $5.00, $10.00 per day bragging when we, at least I think they are full of it.

I do not believe that there are People here making that amount a Day unless they have several accounts on here that they are working with
It is not possible to earn an amount like that in one Day
I spend many hours on here a Day and I don't earn that amount.

They have to be full of it. I think however, that some of those things vary even day by day. Hubby cautions that if I get it figured out, or think I do, they will change it. I just get on and do my best. Last night was pretty pleasing. I am going to try a little experiment tomorrow, as I have little or no time tomorrow to work on myLot. Based on my earnings from yesterday, to earn $5.00, I would have had to post 185 posts. I know I am not that fast. How about you?

You are lucky if that is how many it takes you to earn $5.00 then you are getting double what I earn.

On one Saturday 2 weeks ago, I did a test to see just how much these people would really pay.
I spent 8 hours doing 200 logical posts(not spam)started about a dozen discussions, uploaded 12 pictures and earned $3.38. So I defy anyone to prove they made $5-10 in any one day. Mylot probably has a cap on what they will pay and I think I was pretty well there.
The Saturday before that I did 100 posts and about the same discussion starts and picture uploads and received $2.46.
So double the work does not equal double the pay.
I have found another site however that is not as friendly as mylot but pays very well and I am at $96 in two weeks and so far at $6.00 for today, as you know what you earn minute to minute. I plan to put a few more hours in that site today and will reach at least $10 I hope.

the week I started I made $2 on one day I did make 100 responses though , but the next morning it went down quite a bit , it seems some peoples discussions were deleted and I had posted on them so I lost the earnings from them , I post at least 50 responses all quite long ones and I do write some discussions every day too , I get best responses most days ( one day I got 8) and I have never yet made $2 again lol , but I have made some brilliant friends and I am having fun xxxx

I don't think they pay the same for all points, responses to a discussion may pay more than responses to a response, also longer responses may pay more than shorter ones. MyLot says in the FAQ, that there shouldn't be any discussions on how their algorithm works for working out how much to pay.

Excuse me!! Eskimo, I was not trying to find out how their precious algorithm works I just want to know if the number of points I THINK I have made in a day is equal to the number of point THEY are counting, of course they would not let us know why or how they give more for one point than the other. I stand corrected if you think my discussion was an infraction of the rules and I offer humble apologies.

Oh what a great idea! I so wish that myLot officials would see this discussion and give it some serious thought. But for some reason they wish to have the entire earnings scheme remain a mystery. That is one thing I admire about other paid-to-post sites, they are not afraid to explain exactly what/how one earns money.

This is one of the best suggestions I've heard. I am just surprised I haven't thought of it myself. :P
Maybe you can write to myLot and see if they deign to consider this.

I can honestly say I did make just under $3 one day when I had more time to spend just answering discussions. This was obviously not the norm for me and since I am a part-time member,I average about 35 cents a day.I do not think making 5 or 10 a day is realistic nor would it be fair as the person would be flooding(spamming) the discussion and reply sections with useless babble.

I can't understand how they can make $5 - $10 in a day unless they have a lot of referrals. I have read here that we don't get paid for commenting after reponses we have received to our discussions but I spent all last night just posting comments after responses I had received to my discussions and I posted six reponses to other people's discussions. I expected to receive 12 cents for my nights work but instead I received $1.24. I couldn't possibly have earned this much for six responses so I can only assume that I got paid for my comments.

If you had that many responses to comment on then you could have just earned more because I have heard that if your discussions get a lot of responses you earn more.

No we could not do that as it would like a petition and that is against the rules.

That's a good idea. I try to keep track of how many posts I make each day, but after a day or so, I forget. It doesn't have to mean that if I make 20 posts I'll earn $.40, but I would like to see how my busy days correlate to my good earnings days.

Thats a very novel idea. I for one would want that. I just cant really figure out how the point scheme is done, personally, they're keepin it unders wraps so as they would have a better control how much will be spent for costs (we are costs, thats a hard fact) against earnings this site makes come payout week. So when things are good, we hope to expect generous points but when its bad times, ohh dang - no luck here.
Whatever the case maybe, i hope theres a clear guarantee no one poster receives a $00.00 who participated the most minimum & within the boundaries of TOS.
And for those braggers, post more on inactive discussions please.

I totally agree with you there should be a detailed statistics for everything for everyone,so that one know what is he/she doing wrong and what to do to improve the quality of the post aswell as increasing his/her chance of maximised earnings,i am quite new in Mylot not just here but to this kind of paid forum concept and actually i liked the idea about being paid for the discussions and ofcourse its good to see that we are only paid for quality stuff and not just for any crap as i never got paid for 1-2 liners or just anything that doesnt mean anything at all.

That would be very helpful for all of us serious people here. I am a tester and have tested this system every way I know how. I have done the 100 post, uploaded a photo with each discussion, started 12 discussions, tagged everything and rated all my discussions which only earned me a little over $1.58. Everytime we get 1000 more users they change the pay rate on us. I have now learned how to make a consistent .50-.75 per day without more than 12 discussions. I am sure that will change as soon as we get more members. I was just trying to figure how much discussions pay when I respond to the news area, because my count does not change after I do those discussions. So far I have been unable to figure that out. It did look like I was receiving .01 per post, but now I am earning a lot more per post. It is a mystery, but I will keep trying to find out something that works for me.

I like to try everything just to keep track and maybe see what is best for me. It keeps fluctuating so much especially at months end.

i agree,if they were to add an extra column to were could see the payout for a certain discussion, then we would know how to respond to a discussion better.this would also help members to write better.an earn more money

I have to admit, rather sheepishly, that I have no idea what the difference is between points and money. We get points? Do you mean on our stars? IF so, that had me confused, too. As far as money, I really don't care it's just a perk for being here. It certainly isn't going to make me enough to go in vacation and anyone who says that they are getting $5.00 or more a day is probably not being overly truthful, in my opinion.

Points are is the number after your name right now you have (172). That is used to calculate your estimated earnings. Money is estimated until the actual $ amount on the last day of the month.

I haven't even tried to figure that one out.. I just write what I feel about that day or answer a few of my friends discussions and keep plodding along.. For me it really doesn't matter how much they pay or when.. If I was really concerned about the money end of it I would put more time into myLot but I'm on several places all day long and so I just bebop in and out all over the net.. Somedays its more fun to play here other days there are better playboxes.. But I do try to keep up with you all and love to see and hear whats going on in our world here at myLots.. Tammy

You're right, it would be really cool to see it for ourselves. Is it necessary? Not really. I'm sure you could bring in the 5 or 10 dollars per day, but based on the number of posts that would take, is it really worth it? I'm happy to see a few dollars roll in for internet discussions I would have been having anyways, and it doesn't take up any more time than I would normally be wasting.
