Long discussions......

I have started discussions and with so many other discussions being started within 5 minutes my discussion is buried. I average 3 responses to my discussions, with my largest being 10. I have seen many discussions over 10 pages long! I would like to know if there is a secret to keeping a discussion going. Is there any tricks to keeping the discussion in front of everyones eyes so they respond? Also, if you do start a discussion that turns out to be huge(100+ responses) does that add to your earnings? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure about the earnings part, but I do know that these long discussions are generated by people with huge friends lists so they get a lot of support. Some of these people have 1000 or more friends so it is easy enough to have p;enty of responses. Build your friends list and support your friends discussions so they will support yours is the best advice I have at the moment since I am relatively new myself.

Thanks, you are probably right about that, but I don't think I would want to just add anyone to build up my list, unless of course it added to my earnings.

I agree with you there, I do not ask people to be my friend unless i have a real good reason, and then you have the problem of replying to all their discussions in a quality post and the more friends you have the harder it is. I don't think you get paid for making friends here cause if that were so there would be friend requests flying all over the place. start looking for friends in areas of special interest to you and build your list that way.

To get longer discussions you have to get an avatar with a beautiful woman in it. But not like a top model. Something more simple. You will see your discussion with lots of responses. And make some friends too. If you make about 100 friends and if you post in there discussions they will post in yours too. At least some will.

I think getting lots of responses to you discussions and posting commenct on the responses do add to your earnings. You just have to find interesting topics to discuss to get as much response and collect good friends who responds to your discussions.

I don't have a huge friends list. I have never had a 100 plus discussion, bu I have had in excess of 40-50 replies on a few. I think timing is evrything, and keeping the discussion going with comments of your own. You need 10 replies (I think) to get paid for your discussion over the 1 cent you get for posting it. Then you get a penny per reply and possibly more in excess of that. I haveheard rumour of 2 cents per reply afte you have reached 10 responses. A good rule of thumb is: if they have replied to my topic, let me ceck out their discussions and look for something to reply to. If it is a discussion with nerly 10 replies already, so much the better!
