Dukes of Hazard - Old or new?

We are big fans of the original Dukes of Hazard TV show. We saw the Dukes Movie that came out a year or so ago and enjoyed it for the most part. We found that we enjoyed the reruns of the original show best. What are your thoughts?

Friday nights right after The Incredible Hulk and before Dallas I would see The Dukes Of Hazard. I was great. I didn't see the movie because I could see the reruns.

I had forgotten about the Incredible Hulk! What a great show that was. I wonder if any station will pick up those reruns and show them again? It would be enjoyable to see the big green guy return to our living room!

The movie was decent and funny, but there's just something about the series that makes it lovable. It was corny, but they didn't realize it, so it makes it that much better. The movie was made to be silly on purpose.

Yes - I think you captured the difference in a nutshell! I enjoy the genuine goofyness of the series more than the silliness of the new movie.
