What is a nerf herder?

I wondered on that as well. When I heard it I thought of a tribble (from Star Trek) though and I could just picture a tribble herder. It's probably something like a sheep though. The look on his face though made it sound like it wasn't something that great to be. Of course I think he makes a cute scruffy whatever :)

It's one of many creatures and terms that exist only in the star wars universe. For example, side walks are made of "permacrete," and lots of buildings are made of "plasteele." These terms come from the Expanded Universe novels. I think the nerf is mentioned in one of the dictionaries or encyclopedias (check your library!); I think it's a creature that has almost no worth, and is only herded to keep it out of the way...but I could be wrong...

It must be something derogatory since he makes a face when she calls him that. I don't know what a nerf is but I would imagine a stinky 4 eyed 6 legged goat of some sort. lol

I have never watched star wars so I am clueless on this but my Husband used to watch it and he said....A Nerf Herder is a snot nose creature from star wars.
