I do tend to start using a computer but then my mind wanders off so I prefer to use good old pen and paper. The only problem there is the hand cramp that comes after writing about 5 lines! I really should write more to get rid of that!

I still uses paper and pen. It's best if you take note for math or maybe have to draw, unless you have a tablet. That's much better. I wish I have a tablet PC, so I can draw.

It would depend on what kinds of notes we are talking about. If it is a note regarding something that has to be
done on the computer anyway, I will probably stick it in a notepad file and slap it on my desktop wallpaper. Otherwise, I would scribble on self-adhesive pads or just old name cards.

agree, just make sure those notepads aren't scaterred or they will find their way to the trash, lol

I feel having a lap top to take notes is too slow. Unless of course you are using the voice recorder to record the lecture. But then again it would be a tedious task having to listen to the whole lecture again once you get home. So writing on a not book is the best. you summarize the whole lecture to the point and you remember it better because you wrote down.

I usually type ~ because my handwriting is horrible! And it is much faster to type. I get so carried away with my ideas that I can't write fast enough! But when I'm at work... or in the car... or whatever, I write down ideas to write about. Then, at the end of the day, at home, I type away ~ all the ideas just explode from all the thinking I've been doing during the day!

And there are no rewriting just editing is much faster than scribling in notes with pen, lol.

i still use pen and paper all the time. i make lists of all kinds. it seems like anytime i have to get something accomplished i make a list. it would take me twice as long to use my computer to make a list. you have to first start your computer then you have to log into microsoft word then you have to actually type the list then you have to print it out. my goodness i could have already done at least three things on my list by the time i even get my computer started.

It depends what I'm writing. If I'm blogging, or writing an article that needs to be printed, then I compose directly onto the screen. If I'm just jotting random notes for myself, then I write on scrap paper that sits on top of my desk.

I love the feel of pen and paper in my hands. I buy tons of pens and notebooks and journals. It's a great feeling, my mind works better with pen and paper and it sure is faster than booting up the computer just to take a few notes. Besides, I get way too distracted with the computer with internet and emails. I am much better with pen and paper.
