The star level denotes your reputation here at myLot (among the members). A 9 is very good; it means that many members here give you pluses (+) on your responses or discussions. You must have been giving quality responses. Thus, the star rating is for reputation's sake and doesn't have anything to do with earnings. There are those with lower star levels who are not reputable among the members but have higher earnings because they post more discussions or responses. Hope I was able to answer your question. Well, for me, it's good to have both. The reputation somehow makes me feel good, as I'm enjoying my stay here. I like responding to discussions. I have already accepted that this is not a money-making site, so I just consider the earnings as an added plus. It really depends on you. Other members also have other sites on the side to augment their earnings. I have a full-time job and myLot is a hobby for me. Hope you also enjoy your stay here!

After reading your post,I found that your situation is similar to mine.I have a full - time job too.But my job is very easy,even be free for all day long.That's why I have many time in mylot.And now I begin to love staying here.There are so many people all over the world that I can make friends with.

The higher the rating (from 1 to 10), the more your earnings will be. This is in support of the Discussion Rating System as you can read from the FAQ. My guess though is that instead of thinking you will be paid more, you should think that your earnings will not be deducted if you have a good rating. Just my own speculation. :P
