The sunlight would be the best for that..... there are alot of natural sugars in fruit and people don't really know that, a health specialist talks to me about these kinds of things for my daughter's health. The natural sugars in the fruits turn into pure fat. She tells me that the sun will give lots of energy and vitamin D I believe. If you really wanna go with fruit, I would suggest Organic apples. They taste really good, and they do not have pesticides and growth hormones sprayed on them.

I don't know what is the best one, any fruit that he is willing to eat would be great!! I buy a variety of fruits for my kids and they love most of them-apples, grapes, bananas, oranges, peaches, plums, etc.

Nanners by far is the world's most perfect food. It gives the body good energy and potassium to the growing body. But, I would do more research on a particular fruit you're thinking to serve your baby as you need to know if there's a news flash about them. Remember the green onion and spinach not too long ago?

I believe bananas are very good as they are a good source of potassium and also very easy for children to eat.

While several factors need to be considered-such as your child's likes and dislikes(as well as any allergies)......I have found that a sliced apple, banana slices, orange sections, mango slices, peaches, pear slices and raisins are all very good fruits for a child of this age. Be sure that you slice the pieces of these fruits into small enough pieces that choking will not be an issue....of course, I know that you will be right there. There are also many other fruits that your child may love. I believe that a variety of fruits would be your best choice.

Thank you for awarding me with "best response". I really think that the key idea with children's nutrition, should always be a variety and not pushing our personl dislikes onto our children. Plus, if you begin feeding a child this way. the risk of nutritional issues are dramatically reduced. One more thought, always give your child one new food; wait a few days and be sure there will be allergic reaction--this will make it easier to identify if indeed there is an allergy. And if they do not like a food.....I always "strongly encouraged" but never "forced" my child to try something new and I always offered that food they did not like at least one more time within a year or so...their tastes, like ours, can change with age. Best of luck to you and your family.
