Has "The Secret" Law of attraction worked for anyone

Hi Kynni, I am surprised more people have not responded to this discussion. I received The Secret as a gift a few months ago and have tried to put it to work for me. I have not been able to put it to use as much as I would like, but I have been able to attract small things, like parking spots. When I look back at things that have happened in my life(before I saw The Secret), I can see that The Secret was at work. For example, about 2 years ago, my wife and I were looking to buy a new house. We were debating between new construction and existing homes. We wanted a new construction because you can design and select the home the way you want, but could not get the 12 to 18 month time frame to work for us(didn't want to wait that long). We found a nice area that we liked that had both new and existing homes and we saw a lot of homes and builders. Finally, we settled on an existing home and made an offer. A few things came up and we decided to back out of the contract. Discouraged and upset, we decided to just go with new construction. So we met with one of the builders that was building some homes and had a few free lots still available. We told him we liked one of the homes he was building and wanted the same design but only on a different lot. Then he says if you like that home you can have it because the previous buyers financing fell through. The home was about half way completed, but we could still choose colors, floors, cabinets, etc... We decided to get this home and moved in about 6 months later. Thus, we attracted the home we wanted, in the development we wanted, within the time frame we wanted. When I look back at this event, I can see that the Secret was at work. If I had known the secret, I wonder if things would have turned out differently? I think this would have been difficult to consciously try to do, but we were fixed on the end results the entire time and I think that is important. I think we sometimes try to force things to happen a certain way and do not let things just manifest for us(like they did when we found our home), and I think this is why it may be difficult to put The Secret into practice. I know it has been some time since you made this post, have you been able to put the secret to work for you?
