I have been feeding my kitty The whiskas pouches because they weren't on the list. It's hard to know what to do. I was gonna switch to organic pet foods becasue there has been a huge increase in their sales since the pet food recall BUT they had another article on organic pet foods and they said these organic pet foods still have the wheat glutin in them which is where the chemical was found in the non orgainics. It's pretty bad that you gotta worry about how to feed your animals!

Tell me about it! i't terrible. I have been watching my moose very closely and so far he seems to be just fine and for the pet industry's sake,it better stay that way or I'll sic a lawyer so fast on them it would make their head spin

I've been worried now because it seems everyday on the news it's more brands, and now dogs and cats. I can remember several months back my cat getting sick everytime I fed him his dry food. It was a walmart brand. I thought maybe b/c he was getting older and needed better food, I started buying him the good purina stuff. He is doing ok on that. My daughter's poodle eats Beneful (sp) but used to eat the special food from the vets, but that's not safe either. I don't know what we will end up doing, maybe making our own.

for my dogs, i gave them alternate foods, dry dog foods, vegetables, pork liver, ground pork and bones or left overs from our meals. there are times when they loose appetite on dog foods, that's why i have to alternate their meals. for the bones, i won't allow chicken bones, itchy type of fishbones and some seafoods like shrimp, squid, lobster, crabs, etc. because it will really damage there fur, even suffer hairloss and allergies on their skin.

My dog gets a special type of food. He's highly allergic to meat and we need to feed him with dry food on the basis of fish and patatos. My vetrenarian recommends patatos and fish as a treat. If you want to treat your dog fish might be a solution that's not harmful.

i love my dogs!!! so, definitely i give them a costly dog food. in this way, i no longer worry about other food supplements to feed them like vitamins. so, the premium choice petfood will give them everything their daily needs of vitamins and minerals. However, they too experience taste fatigue so, i do alternate them with other foods such as red meat and liver but never those food that contain allergins such as shrimps and chicken. Chocolates are bad for Dogs so i prefer Milk for their snacks.

I actually adopted my dog on the day the recall came out. I have been feeding her dry food and a little bit of wet canned food from brands that have not been affected, such as Whole foods and Old Mother Hubbard. I also have been vigiliant with checking the lists and staying knowledgable on the subject. This whole recall has messed up the industry and I think alot of customers' trust has been lost.
