Don't you just hate it that when doing a group work project some people just love to tell you what to do and they themselves aren't lifting a single finger to do anything? Worst still is at the end of it they get all the credit because they acted like bosses so everyone assumes it's the work of the bossy person.

hi, I can give you few tips from exeprience
1. Bossy people alway talk a lot, so be a good listner. This may be irritating in begining.
2. Always take the suggestions in good spirit, most of the times you get suggestios which won't work. But you may get a good suggestion, which will help you.
3. As I said most of the time the suggestions won't work, so always give feedback to the person. Remember that your feedback should make an imppression that what ever problem the work is facing it is only becaus of the suggestion by that person.
4. Always keep your suggestion ready. The person is under pressure as his way of going about the work has spoiled the work, so he has no option but the go by your way.
These are the few tips if you use them for some time the person understands that there is no point in bossing as every suggestion of his would land the porject in some or other trouble.
But do not portrey thi always when ever you get good suggestion you must give true feedback and than the person. This would help in maintaining the healthy relationship.
This way of feedbacks generally make the person modest eough to share the credit of the job. REMEMBER GIVE FEEDBACKS IN VERY MODEST, POLITE WAY AND ALWAY IN PUBLIC.

I have, most of my life, avoided them like the plague. As I age, however, I have found myself not really caring. I don't let people boss me. I guess I just realize that some people are just that way and I let them be. Makes no difference in my life as I make sure that everyone understands that I am responsible for me, not some bossy jerk...LOL

It is very difficult to deal and handle bossy people. They always think they are right and never find fault with them.It is not better to argue with such persons. We have to patiently listen to them and dont try to change them.

I just look them right in the eye and tell them that I don't tolerate people telling me what to do. Then I ask them how they'd like it. I remind them again that I'm not going to put up with it, then I leave!

Bossy people annoy me. But for the most part I ignore them and keep on doing my own thing. If it is a group project I make sure that everyone involved gets his/her proper credit. Usually makes that bossy person sneer and get even worse, but to me it is not fair that the person who was mean, bossy, and did nothing gets all the credit. In my experience teachers were always fair with group projects so never had a problem there, but in the job scene it was bad "the boss" usually favored the bossy types more.

I can say that its pretty tough to deal with such people. But here are a few tips
1. Try to listen to what they say first
2. Analyse their resolutions to the problems, analyse their ideas
3. If you find that their ideas are not ok, disagree with them politely.
4. state the areas where they have gone wrong politely dont overlook what they say.
I am sure this would assist you in establishing good relationship with such people.

Bossy people are just bossy people. just listen to them first and if you have to disagree do it with respect. Other wise people will not respect you. So no matter how bossy learn to deal with them.
