It is April fools day in Canada and the USA. I was never got at playing jokes but one year I did.
I was a single parent by that time and my aunt was like my mother to me.
I didn't know what kind of joke to play on her so together me and my six year old son made one up.
I called her and acted all hysterical.
I told her that I was washing the dishes and the phone rang so I went to answer it. Steven, my son, was playing with one of the baby kittens we had, and he must of left it on the counter because when I got back to the dishes, the kitten had drowned in the water.
She was so mad at me yelling, how could you let that happen, and then I said April Fools, and she still yelled at me for the joke.
Have you ever played an april fools joke, what was it?
Or was one ever played on you,

Hi there. Actually we don't really practice April fools day here in the Philippines but I guess some are already doing it. I've never (as far as I can remember) played a big joke on anybody.
As for being the victim, it happened awhile ago and hell it really pissed me off!
Our officemate told us that he was hit by a truck last night and he's in the hospital getting stitches! We were all so worried, willing to cut work and visit him, only to find out it was a joke! I don't want to be a kill joy, spoiling April fools day, but hell a joke that concerns health and life are things I can't tolerate.

It was actually me and my now hubby's first April's fool day that we were together. We had been living together since march 1st of that same year, and he was working the night shift at his work, until 11 p.m. My brother, his gf and their son had come over, and since we didn't have a car back then, my brother offered to go pick him up at work. While he was gone, me and my sister in law concocted a joke to play on my bf. He loooves tv, and would die if we didn't have one (LOL), so i decided to unplug the tv, but place the wires as though it was still plugged, so if he'd pull on it, it would budge. Then, i called my brother on his cell phone, acting all mad, and saying how the tv just shut down, and isn't working anymore, and heard my bf in the background saying "what??". As soon as he walked in, he tried to turn it on (of course, he thought i did something wrong, not that there was something wrong with the tv!) and then started to get a little bit mad, but i couldn't hold my laughter any longer and i just told him about the joke. He started laughing, and said, thank God you told me, cuz i was going to Future Shop to buy another one! LOL

Winterose, Yes I have played a few, but the most daring one was when I was working for an inflight kitchen, every 6 weeks the owner would fly in and prepare and show us the new rotations for the various airlines. We supplied 4 airlines so that was a very busy time as approximately 100 different meals had to be prepared and discussed etc. He would be working before we arrived at 4:am and long after the last person left the building around 9:pm. He was on his last dish when he was making a dressing for the salads. he went in to one of the supply bins and scoped up a cup of sugar and added it to a bowl of ingredients. I asked him what he was making, he replied salad dressing, I replied that that was a lot of salt to add to a dressing. There was a horrified look on his face as he just realized that all his meals that had sugar in them now had salt and all the ones that required salt had sugar. I thought he was going to die on the spot. He turned away to throw out the bowl of dressing he had just completed, and I grabbed his arm and said "April Fools" I was very new to this job, and some what fearful of what I had done. He put the bowl on the counter and leaned over the counter and howled with laughter. It seems that he was a bit of a prankster himself and was always pulling pranks on his friends and family, But never had he been done in as well as I did. I told him it was a spur of the moment thought as to I had wondered what he would do if I told him he was using salt instead of sugar. That prank worked and he was the best person I ever worked for in my entire life.

The Aprils fool joke I pulled was my friend and I decided to play a joke on her Aunt. I was staying the weekend, and we kept thinking what could we do. Her cousin had some fake blood from Halloween, and so we decided that I would have slit my writs and she start yelling for her aunt. I had the blood dripping in the sink and her Aunt came flying up the stair in a panic, and together we yelled, April fools. Boy was she mad and the screaming started. Needless to say, she didn't think it was funny.

That was during school days and the jokes are minor. I would be very careful about that particular day though I do get caught. Luckily no one plays April Fool nowadays on me. They would have earned their distrust from me, and I don't think my friends want to take the risk :P

My best friend is a huge April Fools Joke player. Last April Fools Day we had been staying overnight in a hotel with her husband and two kids, and the two little girls I consider my own. My friend was checking her voicemails on her cellphone. Then she got our attention and said, "I have really bad news. The girls' dad has been trying to call us all morning. He's really mad and he wants them home NOW." We were all in shock, because we'd been looking forward to swimming at the hotel some more until it was time to check out, and then doing some other fun stuff.
Then her husband caught on and said, "Yeah, right. April Fools, right?"
After that, she called her other close friend and told her that she was pregnant again. Her friend didn't fall for it at all.
And that night, I called MY mom and told her I had found a kitten in my friend's backyard and wanted to keep it (I was living with my mom at the time and also already had one cat!) My mom kept saying, "No," and I kept begging and begging, and she was getting mad. Finally I said, "Fine, then can I just say one more thing? April Fools!"
Haha!
