I consider it an interesting, learning experience I can also get paid for. When I signed up at Mylot I had already been a member of a non-paying questions/answers forum. I use this as something to do in my spare time and when I am bored. I have found Mylot to be friendlier and easier to use in some aspects compared to the old site. I do however still visit that site as there are no real Cuba questions here, and there are plenty over there. So I keep going back for those.

LOL NO? I started just for fun. I've been able to get some good advise. To be honest I really started it so I would have something to do while I chatted with a good friend. So far I've made 2.00 and well that just really doesnt get you very far. MY hubby is still telling me that it is a scam.

I was pleasantly surprised that it does pay out, as I have received my first payment last week. I think it is an important supplement to some posters in other countries. In another thread I learned that some people make only $7usd a day at their regular job - mylot could easily give them the equivalent of 4 extra pay days a month. Could you imagine how wonderful it would be to have a few hundred extra a month in our paychecks?

For me it isn't a job. I know it is important for the less fortunate. It helps to be here in my spare time because it eases my lonliness. I still haven't met anyone i could exchange emails with, but maybe it's not that important.
Take care Modestah.

I don't consider myLot a job in any way shape or form because it doesn't even pay minimum wage :)
I think of it more like knowledge building and entertainment with bonus cash. If I was able to get at least $6 per hour doing this then it would be considered a job with a bonus plan however since I can be on here for 2 hours and only make 40 cents it is more for the entertainment to learn more about people and the way they think and react.

this is how it is for me too. But, I must say that I feel challenged to come up with a discussion or find a discussion that I feel I could reply to...and challenged to see how many pennies I can get to at the end of the day. It is fun! it is educational, and in a monetary way it is also rewarding.
I plan to let my earnings just sit in my paypal account until december, at which time I will consider it my Christmas Bonus. It is going to be fun to see how much can be earned by then. But, then again I may have exhausted all what little creativity I have and have absolutely nothing left to discuss. hehe.

since i am still a student and i want to pracise my english so that i can prepare for my future job,i consider mylot is a useful site, but i dont consider it a job in itself,it is still a long time for me to get paid, and i think it is complicated for me to get money from paypal,so i never think that one day i will get real money, that might happen, but at least it takes a month or more to recieve that money,so it is impossible for me to consider it as a job.it's an entertainment, and a way to have friends from all over the world.

you are right, it is an excellent way of expanding knowledge...because people are sharing what they know about a subject, or you search out answers because you found the discussion interesting and wanted to learn more.
but it is also a challenge to see how many pennies you can build up today.

I joined Mylot for a "job" sorta, well, I just wanted to earn some profit on the internet. That soon changed. I went from labor typing to entertainment. Making posts was actually a tough thing to do because I could find any topic of my interests. I learned how to have fun on Mylot. I believe that if you enjoy Mylot, you will have an easier time and not think of it as a self employment.

Money was what dragged me to join mylot initially. I was referred by a friend here. Along the way, I began to enjoy mylotting and money was not even a concern for me anymore. It was a refreshing site for me to use my brain sensory to the max once again and the best thing is to gain friends. It was an amazing experience.

No way, not at all. I have a job that is too time consuming to consider this a job. But I do like it, and it offers me a little pocket change along the way.

I would like to, but with cents & dimes to earn, ca'nt get burned out on this its embarassing. Just funny sometimes, how i feel like responding to 20discussions & enjoying it, & sometimes not even a topic is responded. This can be a good revenue & referral introduction though as it has very good & interactive community.
You may say its 70% entertainment & 10% to ease boredom a bit, the rest whatever. I've been thinking too if i could have this as a full-time like job, one of these days im gonna simulate it, being 8-10hrs just doin responses & all.

NOt a job per se, as working at this has only allowed me to make about $1 a day.
BUt I do enjoy the stimulating conversaton and new friends that I have made.
Good question!

I have a target I like to reach every day, and until that target is reached it can seem a little job like, I woul.d feel guilty if I skipped it all together. I don't consider it actual 'employment' depsite getting a little mney for it, but it can be a chore at times. It is nice when the target is getting near to being reached, because then I feel like I can be more choosy about which posts I am going to respond to.

To me mylot isn't a job because it doesn't pay what I'm willing to work for and I don't have to do it. With a real job you get a certain amount of income and you have to do it to live. To me mylot is fun and I get a little extra spending money each month. It's also entertainment for me since I don't really do much else for fun.

I would consider it to be virtually impossible to convert Mylot into a form of job. The potential earnings are far below any realistic level, so it has to remain a hobby.
I rarely pay much attention to the number of responses that I make and prefer to spend my time here responding to discusions that interest me, so the earnings for me are very low. As long as I qualify for payout each month them I am happy.

Well I joke that sometimes it requires a lot of work, which it does realy, but I don't really consider it a job. I have a job, so this is more of a money-making passtime for me. I do find it fun and challenging at times, and I definitely do it for interaction with others!

I think it is both. I do make a little here and expect at the end of the year I will have made enough that I will have to report it as self-employment.
That being said I am mostly thinking it is a fun place to be and I am here because it is so much easier to use than some of the other sites I have seen. I do have one other I like but until today, It has not been a paying site, but will start to now. It is not to hard to navigate. I like that I can talk with people in India or singapore, or Canada, or... Well where ever I like. That is the coolest thing! I have good friends here now (like you) and I like to keep up with them!
