Everybody love to say "I'm Christian, Moslem, Buddhist, Hindu". Is that word so important for our life? Does everybody should have a religion? Do the people who have a religion always pray and keep the world in peace. If a religion so influence our life, why does many war happened?

Religion is very important in the life of every human being, whether christain, moslem or whatever religion is practice in your area. The values that are taught in all religion are the same, although recorded and interpreted in different ways. These values are what shape every human life. Most of the present laws are carried down from rules set in the doctrines of various religion. No religion commends violence, stealing, killing, hetrad, cheating etc. Whatever individual life values we have today, even those who are not religious, can be traced to one religion or the other which are passed down to us through our fammilies, friends and sosiety at large. That there are war and violence over the world is not as a result of religious belief but rather is as a result of selfish interet of those that are placed in the position of interpreting and guilding the followers. It is necessary that one must consider the impact of the beliefs of any religion in promoting the general human welfare before accepting or joining any religion, even if you are born in that religion. And tolerance for other peoples religion will go a long way to stop violence perpetrated in the name of religion. There is a God that created every thing on earth and we have an obligation to worship, praise and reverence Him through our various religion.More also, through our various religion, we pray to Him for world peace.

Everybody should not have a religion, but deep down in everyone's heart, God there. The key is you have faith or not. Religion is only an institution that ordinate our practic in prayer.

Religion is not a must. But if we would like to be saved and it's God who will be saving us, then we should follow the rules laid down by God for us to be saved. If we do not follow God, then we will not be saved. That's how simple it is.

I am an atheist, and love saying it for that matter. I can understand why people need a religion, it's a great basis for answers to uncertainties and it gives you an identity, but for me it's just to restrictive, plus it just doesn't fit in with my person. By the way: In Belgium, my home country, not a lot of people are religious, so saying you're religious is not something people love over here.

Religion is so very important. It keeps our evil desires controled. War is not an outcome of religion, It's cause is the lack of it.

people have a religion if they find one that they beleive is true. beleif isn't a choice. you hear something and you beleive it or you don't.

It's true that everybody should as least have faith, and no matter what faith it is, or if it is religious, it doesn't matter. Faith is simply a comfort, with which you know you can be safe in the storms of life that you can't do much to help yourself get through. Even if you believe in your bright future, at difficult times you will also find comforting that this is merely another impediment hinging you from reaching the ideal shore, and then all that matters is knowing that you'll be eventually, and what happens on the route are just good story materials. A religion, I believe, offers the same. Apparently it is way more systematic and organized and many people's a mutual choice of spiritual haven. Although there are more than just one branch of religions out there on the face of the earth, deep down at core, all of them are trying to arouse the good of human nature and meanwhile providing shelters that can help you through the tough times. And that, is the very valuable out of all the religions, all religious theories aside, and for that, having a religious faith shall do us good. However, it'd be carried too far if it became a must for us to be religious, because as I see it, the world is a lot more than just white and black - religions and science -, so any matter is above just the pure definition of itself. We should be aware of the fact that there's still a large grey area between these two major flows of ideology. And therefore, relying on either of these two would be too extreme, and nothing good is ever coming out of it. Religion or no religion, doesn't really matter. As long as we have faith, we shall thrive.
