do you ever go to a "themed party" with costumes?

We just went to a "pirate party last nite.. it was very fun. everyone had to dress like a pirate. we ate, drank, and played games, and listened to Jimmy Buffet all nite. very fun.

The most themed we get are the murder mystery dinner parties. Us and 3 other couples take turns putting on these parties- You buy the game (includes menus, scripts to act out the play, props, invites).. the games are so much fun- You send out an invite-- the invites tell you who you will be- how they dress- a little about them- We always dress the parts- We shop at the salvation army for alot of the clothes-- the person fixes up their house to look like the story line- We've had bbq's, bars, pasta restaurants.. when you enter the house you are the person you are playing- so all night you play this person- You go through acts- and questions people-- all the time trying to figure out who is the murderer. It is so much fun- WE do the these once a month!
