Who do you think is the best player Indian cricket has ever produced???

i hate cricket.i dont like to watch it any more! i was a die hard cricket fan.and as i am an indian i have a great support for them.but not any more.i dont understand why they fail?they were never serious.they broken hundreds crore of indian people.they not at all tried to fight! I HATE THEM ALL...i mean it.now i take some serious resolution.i will never waste my time for cricket anymore.i am tired of indian team.

difficult choice. very difficult choice. I think you need to consider about the eras as well. 70's 80's 90's ...up to.... 2007 I personally haven't see much about the Kapil Dev. So i'm not sure about him. (I only heard that he is a great.May be. But i havn'e seen him much. either batting or bowling.) So i like to deal with my days heros. I will go with, Sachin.

Yes thats true... Kapil Dev is the best allrounder India has ever produced... He always used to play for the country rather than making his own records... He always gave 100% either in batting, bowling and fielding.. He is truely the best player India has ever produced... The other best player India has produced is "Jumbo" i.e. Anil Kumble.. He too like Kapil dev always gives his 100% in every department whenever he is given a chance... He is a true genuine team man and always plays for the country. He has always performed well in crucial matches.. He is a selfless person in real sense.. But its so sad that he announced retirement from the One days... We will surely miss him and India will suffer a big loss..

Though I wasn't born then, but from what I have read, Vinoo Mankad was a great player. Kapil Dev, well he was a good player, but he got involved in too many controversies and I think that it was around the time that he was captain that betting and bookies really become big in Indian cricket. Gavaskar of course is the king corruption and a greedy person who played only for money, if rumors are to be believed.

whoever it is but one thing is sure that it is not from the current batch of cricketers who playerd the world cup be it that be sachin or saurave or dravid, all of them are playing only for money, not for the game. I would vote for some older players who played the game with passion and commitment rather than money.

Hello Madhumitaa,thanks for your post.The game of cricket has many departments inside the field and it is not a one man game, but it is a team game and the team consists of many departments, the best Allrounder cricketer India has ever produced is none other than Mr Kapil Dev,the most technically sound successful batsman India has ever produced is none other than the master blaster Mr Sachin Tendulkar,the best allrounder wicketkeeper India has ever produced till now is none other than Mr Gundappa Viswanath,the best fielding cricketer India has ever produced is Mr Mohammad Azaruddin ,the best captain India has ever produced is none other than the prince of Calcutta Mr Saurav Ganguly and the most dependable committed in terms of patience and nerves inside the field during the most tough situations during the match as a succesful batsman is none other than Mr Rahul Dravid.

I think Sachin Tendulkar is one of the best player Indin cricket ever produced. I also agree Kapil Dev is one of the best players because Kapils is selfishness and was always playing for the team. Sachin Tendulkar has got class and was always able to beat some very good team like Australia and was able to play good shots on the bowlers like McGrath.

Its very difficult to say one player as India's best. India has produced several legends, among them three will always remain on top i.e. Little Master Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev. But I personally feel that SACHIN TENDULKAR is a player, like whom are very very rarely produced. For me, he is the greatest player India has ever produced. To score more than 26,000 International runs with 78 international hundreds till now and over 120 half centuries. Its just unbeliveable, almost impossible for any other player to match these statistics. He has remained the backbone of India for a long time and has been responsible in India's victory on numerous counts. He has won the most man of the match awards than any other player in the world, it shows his importance. So for me, he is a living legend and the greatest Indian player I have witnessed so far

as my opinion Mohamad Azar is the one of the best cricketer has ever produced? There is lot of differnce between Azar and others, he likes to play for team,country but itis not for others. what i means when team requires runs,win, at that who wil do the best only he is the best cricketer as i think.

sachin s the best player produced by our country.some even celebrate him as GOD of cricket.He has got wonderful talents..
