How to EDIT NEW Personal Profile PAGE on MyLot

Hello, to all my dear mylot friends who send me PM on how to edit thier personal profile page. Some of them personalize thier page 1 month ago with the tutorial discussion I post a month ago too as for consistent mylot friend demand here is the newly tutorial on personalizing our profile page on mylot. This is my own Version 2 on how to edit or tweak your personal page like mine take a peak at my personal page http://www.mylot.com/maribel1218 and if you want just exactly same layout that I have follow this step by step tutorial. 1. Click the your profile name the one with http://www.mylot//??your username under your avatar after that it will lead you to your personal profile page. 2. From that page you can see EDIT PROFILE click that box after that you can farther browse up in the upper right-hand corner and you can see the," then click on the "add content" you will see a dialog box asking you to choose what item you want to add. Just select "sortie" menu afterwards it will prompt you to choose what type of sortie would you like to add to your profile click "HTML" from the selection menu. For me the HTML works in the Now it will ask you to choose which container you wish to add it to. You'll see labels for each "container" on your edit profile page, so choose the one that you want to put your HTML sortie into. If you pick the wrong one, don't worry! Hover over the sortie until the four-pointed arrow appears, and then drag it to the area you want it in. If you see a gray rectangle appear, you can drop the sortie into that spot in your container. Now that you've got your HTML sortie positioned where you want it, you can copy and paste the HTML code for your layout into it. To do that, hover over the sortie until the "edit" text appears in the right-hand corner of the sortie, then click on that. It will open a text field that works about the same as the "What's on my mind" section of the old profiles did. Anything you do seems to automatically sav on your profile, so as soon as you paste the code you want to use into your sortie you can open your profile As for me my HTML sortie works under Column 2 Container 2 it is important to state properly where the HTML sortie will place for it will not take effect if it is not properly place in the right container. If you scroll down and see the HTML sortie go back to the upper right hand selection wherein you can see the edit-add content if you see that click the EDIT button. 3. It is important that you edit the main theme first put the word "transparent" in the sortie container background,sortie container border,page background,left menu background, left menu border color, the rest of the box you will select your personal color for the left menu in the profile page. You should click the "close" button to activate the choices. 4. In the new profile you can choose what will be the column that will appear in your personal page I for myself choose only "my photo" and "Comments box" primarily because if a mylot friend will visit my page they can see in the left menu the choices like discussion I've started, discussion I've replied to,my best responses so I choose my photos and Comments box to appear on the profile page in deleting the default column like discussion I've started, "my interests", "my friends" just find the "x" on the right portion of every sortie and it will no longer appear in your personal page. 5. To edit your "Discussion sortie,my friends sortie, my interests sortie, my comments sortie, just follow the step 3 but be sure that you click the EDIT button under discussion sortie etc. you will personally choose color of the text and other color but don't forget to put the word transparent in the background and border selection. 6. After finish editing all the column sortie go to your HTML sortie and click edit you can see a dialog box where in you can copy and paste any code like "what's on my mind box before here is the link For background layout: http://www.hotfreelayouts.com http://www.123mycodes.com http://www.profilemods.com http://www.blinkyou.com For music background: http://www.imeem.com (from that site you can select video or just music to autoplay once your profile will be viewed by other members you can use their search engine to look for the song you like and then if you find your song just copy and paste the embed dont forget to check the autoplay box in your HTML dialog box on mylot. Additional Designs like glitter word, maps and care badge http://www.blinkyou.com/index.php http://www.blastup.com -for glitter word and falling objects and look for glitters and falling object and also copy the code in the HTML dialog box on mylot profile page. For Care badge: http://www.carebadges.com For map locator that is cool to add in your profile you can add this map to your profile by this link http://www.frappr.com/coolgooglemaps also just copy the code and paste it in your HTML dialog box. If you already put all the necessary code click "close" and view profile box under your avatar and you will see the changes if you want to edit more and change your background just click "EDIT PROFILE and go to your HTML sortie and click edit and you will just edit the HTML codes that you put there to be sure save in msword copy of your HTML codes for future reference. Customizing the NEW profile page really took A lot of effort and time but patiently editing it will result into a more personalize page just really what you want. I am not a computer genius or a web designer but I have PATIENCE to click and click until I resolve it out and finally share to all my dear mylot friend who wants to personalize thier page too!!!
