I prefer to use the word 'encourage' than 'insist' for my kids to study. I will encourage them to study harder because it is for their own good, not mine. The education and lessons they will learn from school is already a treasure. The best gift that a parent could give to their children is education because once acquired, it will not be taken from them, unlike material things.

Yes, because as a parent one of your obligations is to teach them about the world and how to live in the outside world. And set them up for a good life. An education is a good thing to have, and they are going to have to do things in life they dont like and arent interested in so you have to get them ready for that, sor when they leave your house.

I think it is a parent's responsibility to make sure that their children study and do well in school. I don't think forcing them is a good idea but there are ways to make it more interesting for them. I think it shows our children that education is important and that we care about them.

Children are the responsibility of their parents and it is the duty of the parent to teach their children about the ways of the world. As such, I think it's very important for parents to encourage their children to take an interest in studies. But, if the child is genuinely not interested, it's a bad idea to force them into it, because if a child genuinely doesn't want to study something, they won't, meaning it simply won't work and it'll all be nothing more than a waste of time and money and a source of anxiety for both child and parent alike.
