This is a bit of a follow-on from my thread about it being illegal to mow your lawn on a Sunday in Switzerland (if you haven't read/responsed to it, please check it out!). I have to say that is the most random/odd/strange/bizarre law i've ever heard of. So i was wondering if anyone on here has heard of any other really random/odd/strange/bizarre laws? Do you have any in your country, or maybe you have heard of some in other countries? I'd be very interested to know!

I'm not sure if it's real or not yet, but this morning I got an e-mail from a friend who thought that at one time it was illegal to get a fish drunk in Trenton, New Jersey. If true it would probably be the strangest one I've heard of.

My son's girlfriend originally came from Tennessee. It seems that they have a law there that it is illegal to shoot whales out of the window of your car. Since Tennessee has no water surrounding any of its borders, I think that this law is a bit bizarre.

I can't remember what country it is in, but somewhere a man can divorce his wife mid argument. All he has to do is should "I divorce thee" three times. Saves a bit on lawyers, I suppose. x
