I think she needs to be attentive. Manners and courtesy are very important too. She needs to serve without being obtrusive.

yep. that one, too. attendants should be attentive to the needs of the passengers that's why they are called attendants in the first place. service with a smile is always nice and calming.

i don't fly often, but i have to agree with lordwarwizard here --- attentiveness, courtesy and good manners are essential qualities that any flight attendant must have. any trip must be a comfortable and enjoyable one.

Yes, a good flight attendant would be attentive and also be very polite to the passengers. I saw one on my way down to Texas who seemed miserable and did not smile once during the trip. He did go around and serve but seemed like he did not want to be there or he was tired.

I don't fly now. But, when I did, I never had a bad experience with any. I think that they should have a pleasant personality, very outgoing. I would not want to be one, as I hate to fly.

That is nice that you have never had any bad experiences with them. I have not either though the one going down to Texas seemed very unhappy. He may have been exhausted from the flying but he should smile and not show is unhappiness or lack of energy. I love to fly.

i wish i could be a flight attendant so i could go to places for free. be able to serve the people on board and put some smile in their faces.
flights attendants should be patient, pleasing and intelligent as well. they should be able to render quality services to the people on flight. that even if they are already tired, atleast are still able to give their smiles to us.

That would be why I would want to be a flight attendant so I can see other parts of the country or world for free. I would also love to help people and make their journey a pleasant one. They definitely need all of those qualities that you mentioned.

I have flown many a time..and my experience with flight attendants has always been very positive..The flight attendants I have come across were always polite and observant.. If they saw we needed something, they were quick to ask us if they could help us with our need..
I would say courtesy and being observant and caring are all qualities of good flight attendants.;)+

I actually would not want that job. Not even the perks of flying where ever I want. I think flight attendants have it rough. A friend of mine is a flight attendant and she calls herself a gloryfied waitress.
She is good at her job. I say cudos to all of them.
