Of course they do.
That is one reason that guys don't like chic flicks.
The other is that they are just plain dumb.
I prefer movies with happy endings.

Some movies how they end may make me sad but I can understand why they did it that way. Then there are other movies like "Summersby" or "City of Angels" where the ending ruined the movie for me. I won't watch them again because of it. Loved everything up till then but because of how they decided to end them it turned me off watching them. I won't recommend them to others either because of it. I tell them how I feel that they should have done better by the characters and the storyline. Now there are other movies with sad endings that I love but those ones are true to the full story and characters. It makes sense to end that way.

A good movie is a one with a perfect beginning and ending.I enjoy the good movie as a whole regardless of the happy or sad ending.
Von ryan's express is good example of a good movie with sad ending.

I don't really feel bad with tragedies, especially when they're well done and have displayed cinematic artistry. What I don't appreciate sometimes are movies with open-ended themes, the types wherein it's up to you to guess the ending. It's like there's something unresolved (as in shouting for a sequel -- oh, well), or you're left with the feeling that the scriptwriter has run out of ideas for a good ending.

omg! I just saw Premonition! And the ending ruined the movie for me. I def. didnt think it should have ended the way it did and it made me (and my dad) mad! I'm still mad thinking about it! lol!
