My son's father never took responsibility of him, He never paid child support and only came around 5 times in almost 16 years. Yes legal perternity was established. I think his blankity blank should go to prison. My son did not deserve that crap. Fathers step up!!

Your son is probably better off without a role model like that one. Many women wish the fathers of their children would step up and become thadad their children need. instead, they have to raise the children alone, and often when you meet thefathers, you silently thank whomever, that this man had absolutely no influence on any children. My ex walked off, never paying any child support, but I later found out that his sister and sister-in-law told him that I had remarried and that man had adopted his children. Ofcourse, I hadn't.They lied to him, they lied to me and they denid my children their father simply because They thought I should accept his having a girlfriend.

I don't know that sending them to prison is going to make them be a better father either but there should be a better set up to be able to take there money for them so that when they are not being a good father at least the child and mother are not stuck with nothing .
Your son does not deserve this and you are right in feeling angry towards his father but your son will remember who was there for him and who wasn't and he will know that you have always done the best by him that you could and it is his father that missed out on so many wonderful things as you can't get back the time you lost later in years .

In Texas if a child supprt order is in place and the dad doesn't pay he can go to jail. I don't know how long it has to be but they will issue a warrant for their arrest and take them to jail. They will have to work in jail and the money they make will go towards their child support...pretty good to me!!

Yeah They keep saying they cant find him. The sorry court system here is not doing their jobs. He has been working under his wife's last name. I gave them all of his information including his social security #. He has been doing construction work for years. They had a warrant for him and never picked his raggedy, ,sorry self up. I received a letter from The friends of the court stating that since they can't find him they are closing my case. They are more sorry than he.

I dont think they should go straight to prison but I think that they should be held responsible for any child that they do create. The children didnt ask to be created and it is them that is really suffering when a child isnt taken care of by both parents.
Your son will always wonder why his dad did this to him and was it his fault. Thats not fair to him and his dad should have to pay for that.
