My husband broke his wrist at work. Do you think it is right to sue?

My husband has a broken wrist and torn ligaments in his wrist, due to the negligence of his job. Some people at church says that it is not Biblically right to sue. What do you think?

My father went through this. They had him working a two man machine by himself and he ended up breaking both knees, messing up his back and his neck forever. He sued because there was negligence involved. I believe that this has nothing to do with biblical right and wrong. It has everything to do with negligence on the side of the company. If they were negligent in anyway and it caused bodily damage and loss of the ability to work and support his family your husband has every right to sue. The church isn't going to take care of your family when you can't pay your house payment. So, you must do what you can for your family. Your husband did no wrong.

if the accident happens during office hours or work hours the company is incharge of the bills of the treatment of such injuries...however you cant sue the company since they were already doing their part to shoulder all the treatment bills..however if they dont then tis the time to file a complaint ...

They won't let him get treatment on his back. He is also complaining about his back. But they are paying medical bills for wrist

did your husband broke his wrist due to the company's indifference towards safety at work or due to his negligence? it doesn't matter anyway. but i think all accidents that happen during working hours inside the company premises are the responsibility of the company. if the company refuses to pay for your husband's hospital bills, then i'd say go sue them.

It is your right to sue the company because its within the hour of work (suppossedly) and if what he did that lead for him to the accident is inline with his work. You have every right to ask for support from the company.

First of all ask yourself what is the purpose of suing ,what do want to get from suing, do you want to get revenge for what happen to your husband? If revenge is the purpose , better listen to the people at the church and ask for their advice for other option, maybe god is sending message to you through them and gain wisdom.

Workers compensation should help cover some of the expense since it was an on the job injury. This would keep you from feeling as though you were doing something wrong or inappropriate since you don't have to sue to get it. ;)

I believe he should be compensated for medical bills and if he follows the compensation rules I am sure he will get a settlement if he has lost any use of his wrist. I am not in favor if suing. I had capal tunnel surgery and never regained the feeling in my fingers they are numb all the time was it the surgeons fault or a problem with my own body. I probably could have sued but I might need the Dr. again and he is very good. Believe me if you sue word will get around and people will not want you on their property because they think you will sue. Drs. will treat you different because they are afraid of a law suit. Think about it before you sue. Clarkebar
