I am so tired right now...I was sick for about 2 weeks yet I managed to go to work take care of the kids and still clean the house. Although we ate take out. My husband has gotten sick and grant it everybody is different. He has gone to work but that is about it..I am exhausted from taking care of him. I love my husband to death but sometimes it's worse than the kids..When he was really sick running a fever i didn't mind but now he just has a cough. So men are you a big baby when your sick....Girls does it ever drive you crazy?

LOL- THe first thing I did was go to your profile to check your age. I see that your old enough that this is not a surprise to you. Welcome to the wonderful world of MEN. I live with a 55 yr old that was a 20 yr. Marine, has done some physical jobs that would kill a younger man- but lord lord lord let that man get a cold and you would think there was a Collera outbreak!. The whinning is almost unbearable! The coughing is worse, and they are truly the worst patients. Those are the times when I thank GOD my jobs keeps me gone 12-13 hrs a day. LOL

Hi That is unfair, I am a guy and I don't think I am like that. When I knew that I was about to get a stroke. I alone went to hospital and did not call the family till I was admitted in.
Infact, I told my wife and daughter, not to bother to come every morning and evening. But still they came, I am not complaining.
I never wanted to be consider as an handicap (fortunately it was a mild stroke effecting my right side) I am ok and moving around freely.
Maybe, you beautiful partners, become over excited when your husband becomes sick and I guess that they are playing the game with you. It is all LOVE for each other.
Cheers

Like every rule there are exceptions. :) I'm glad that you could take care of your illness by yourself. I'm so happy that you have recovered and are OK.
I think sometimes, My hubby is such a baby because his mother babied him when he was a child. My 8 year old can't get his medicine, is allowed to sleep or watch TV all day. I'm sure I'm teaching him the same values. Be sick, and someone will take care of you. there is nothing wrong with it, just so funny that men can get away with it!!

That's so funny! I have the same problem here at my house. It drives me absolutely crazy. Whenever my husband gets sick (or just the sniffles) he whines like a little baby.
I remember coming home from the hospital after I had my daughter. She was born the Monday in late afternoon before Thanksgiving. I had preplanned my Thanksgiving dinner and had everything I needed for the baby. Guess what husband started sneezing and had to go to bed on Thanksgiving Day.
I was absolutely livid. I had a baby a few days earlier and he promised to help me with the baby and the dinner.

I agree. My hubby gets so mad when I DON'T baby him when he's sick. My response... who takes care of me when I'm sick? I STILL have to get the kids to school, cook dinner, laundry, clean house, etc. I don't have time to lay in bed all day and feel sorry for myself. ooohh... does that get his goat!! LOL! I suppose my illnesses usually last about 3 times longer than his.
Yes, I do let him sleep, and try to keep the kids quiet and leave him alone. But that is as far as I go.
