what is the perfect way to propose to your long time girlfriend?

I a looking at proposing soon and would love to hear about suggestions that work or something you would love to happen to you!

Make sure she has no idea first off! Maybe tell her you have a work bbq to go to and you will meet her there. Go to a nice picnicy spot and wait for her there. Greet her with champagne and a kiss and tell her you just wanted to spend time with her. Pack a gormet feast and talk about the future. when she leasts exects it...propose! This happened to my cousin and she never stops talking about it :)
