whos your favorite lord of the rings character from the movies?

whos your favorite character in the whole set of movies? it doesnt have to be a main character, they could have a small part or be a secondary character if you want. mine would have to be pippin. billy boyd does an excellent job of portraying an innocence but also want to show gandalf that he can do something good. hes so cute and, i hate to repeat myself but its the only word i can think of, innocent but at the same time make you think of little boys getting into mischief. i also love treebeard, hes just a good character as a whole.

agent smith....errrr, i mean Elrond (heehee)...he makes me think of Matrix when I watch LOTR, and makes me think of LOTR when i watch Matrix...i love both movies...partly because he's in both films, he is a good actor...

dont you just love when he walks on top of the snow when all the others are trying to plow through it? you are talking about legolas right

I like a lot of the characters but what I like most is with how some interact with the others. Like Merry and Pippin. They make me smile with how they are portrayed. Then there is Legolas and Gimli. Together they are so great and really draw you into the story. A single character I'm not sure. I would probably go with Gandalf. I have a soft spot for old wizards but also Ian McKellen did such a great job in the role. He brought him to life like no one else could have in my opinion.

thinking more about it, i really have to agree. the combinations that the characters make w/ each other are really important and a major part of the actual story and who their character really is, thanks for showing me that

I actually love all the characters in the movies...yes...both pippin and merry are great characters..they perhaps transform so much..you first see them as pranksters always creating mischief..but as their journey goes on, they mature and even become heroes in a sense...I love Gandalf, Elrond..but my all time favorite would be Aragon..or rather Viggo Mortensen..I kid people and say he's my future husband...LOL
