Is Muslim a Race or Religion?

I had a while to think about this topics and have differrent view about it too. What makes Muslim race muslim, if it is a religion, what makes it a religion.Because if you're of a particular race , you cannot change that, you are born to that race, but not religion. religion you can change but not race. I say Muslim is a race, is Arabic a race too, or Middle Eastern. I say Islam is religion. Like there is no Christian race, but it's religious. What do you think?
