do you take a bath at the start of your monthly period?

my old told me not to take a bath at the beginning of my menstruation, they told me i may get insane if i did. i can still remember when i was young that i believed them and keep from taking a shower on my first day but as i grow older i realize their mistake, besides how can we go insane just by taking a bath?
how about you, do you believe this crap?

There are many "old wive's tales" about Menstruation and the vast majority of them, this one included, are utter rubbish.
Some of tehse stories go back to ideas in soem cultures about menstruating women being "unclean" in some way, and I guess all tehse old stories take a lot of losing.
Having lived with a woman for over 25 years, who bathes almost daily, I can categorically say that bathing on the first day of your menstrual cycle will NOT drive you crazy!

ive never heard that before! lol rather silly.
there is nothing wrong with keeping yourself clean..no matter what day of the month it is.
and you certainly cannot go insane by taking a bath or shower..even if you did it everyday of your period!

wow!! why in the heck would anyone tell you that?? in fact my doctor recommends it..it for one makes you feel better having the warm water on you..and it helps with cramping..and i just dont understand why anyone would even belive such craziness..i know there are diff cultures and beliefs that because i dont understand i shouldnt condemn..but..thats just totally insane!! lol!

Ah really? that's the first time I heard about it so obviously I don't practice it at all. You might end up getting some fishy smell if you do that right? O.O;;
