Have you ever experienced forgetfullness? I have gotten up to go get something out of the kitchen & when I get there I have forgotten what I went into the kitchen for. Other times I ahve gone to the grocery store knowing that I had 3 or 4 items to get, but when I get there I can only remember one or two. I find myself having to write down lists of things that I have to do, more & more. It is very frustrating. Could this be a stress thing, or am I just not paying attendtion, or something medical? I would make a dr.'s appointment, but I would probably forget to go! LOL

It could be that you are lacking in folate. That effects the brain. A blood test will verify if you need to start taking it. I do it sometimes too and I have found if I go back to where I was before I walked into the kitchen I remember what it is I went in for. Mine is caused through stress though I know that for a fact.

This kind of thing happens to me when I am stressed out. Sometimes when I have a lot on my mind, I'll think to do something like check my bank balance on line. I'll open a new window in order to access the bank site, but by the time I've gotten the new window open, I've forgotten what it was I wanted to do with it. That is extremely annoying!

I wouldn't worry about that be forgetful unless you have forgotten to pick up the kids from school, LOL.
Most people as we get older do tend to have little moments of forgetfulness and I think that's fairly normal. I know that for me that I must make lists for going to the store and even lists if I have a bunch of places to go to so that I don't forget one along the way.
In some cases it's more than just normal forgetfulness and those are usually do to a vitamin deficiency.
The type that you describe though everyone I know has on occasion forgot why they went into another room. Or forgot the point they were trying to make when telling a story.
Good luck to you. :)

Hello there! I experience it all the time. Sometimes, I get pretty scared about how it will be when I grow old. Scary thought, really. There are times when my husband and I were going somewhere and I handed him some coins before we went out of the house. While we were waiting for a jeepney, I asked him if I have given him the coins. He said yes. When we were already riding a jeepney and we're near our destination, I asked him again if I have given him the coins. He gave me a funny look and told me yes. Then he told me that it was the third time that I asked him in a span of twenty-five minutes.
