turbulence

have you ever been in an airplane before? if yes then do you know what causes the turbulence ehich an airplane encounter during the flight...any ideas??

(first looking to see if i don't replied before..lol!!_ I traveled with airplane many times when i was little,and all i can remember is that i loved all time when they said will be turbulence...even tough right now i will not live so happy those moments.... augusta

i have beenin airplanes several times. turbulence is caused by the air present in the atmosphere. the difference in pressure in different layers of the atmosphere may cause the turbulence, but i am not sure.
