I'm planning to buy a new one this coming week. Because it's terribly hot this summer and my kid can't cope with it. Hope you can suggest on what's the best brand of air con here in the Philippines? I already have Panasonic and Samsung. And their quite expensive in terms of electricity bill. I want something that is energy saving this time. Hope you do have some suggestion for me.. Thank you. Bless you always.

before you buy the best brand of a/c, you may want to know this info.
watch out the BTUs and EERs of the a/c. BTUs means British thermal units while EERs means Energy Efficiency Ratio. The more the BTUs the a/c has, the more it costs, but it has powerful cooling effect. Btus are the best indicator of what a/c you shoould buy, so carefully figure out what you are looking for. the smaller the room, the fewer BTUs are needed.
With respect to EERs, the higher the EERs the a/c has, the better, because they cost less to operate. unfortunately, they are expensive, too. so i suggest you have to make a balance in which really brand of a/c suits your needs.
so if you plan to use an a/c 24/7 and keep it for longer period of years, get an aircon with a lower EER.
which brand of a/c has these features? check out for yorselves.
personally, i want to use CARRIER

correction: the sentence "SO IF YOU PLAN TO USE AN A/C/ 24/7 AND KEEP IT FOR LONGER PERIOD OF YEARS, GET AN AIRCON WITH A LOWER EER" should have been read "so...get an aircon with a HIGHER EER."

I wouldn't know if this is the best brand since we've only used airconditioners made by this company. Condura.
