When your family going on a trip, who's preparing for your famiy needs ??? You have to do it yourself, your husband or everyone has their own task ??? Or everybody just sit in the car and let you prepare everything for them and they just said to you..."what took you so long ???" When my family going on a trip, normally, I'll prepare most of the things myself for my family. And I do it one day earlier....such as foods, drinks, clothes, toys for my daughter, etc. Otherwise my husband will only take his toilet bag + 1 jeans + 1 t'shirt for himself (nothing else) and wait in the car with my daughter.....and said " what took you so long ??? " ....aarrrgggh....

If we're going out just on a day trip, myself and my boyfriend will get things ready such as camera, babies bag etc. If going on holidays abroad, i will get my own clothes packed and my son's things as I know more what to bring for the whole week for him. My boyfriend will then pack his own things.

I agree....it could be tiresome, and if we thinking about what we have forgotten to take, I don't think we ever leave the house for the trip....hahaha... Thank you for you respond !!!

Of course, it is one of the best way to prepare everything that you might need for the trip yourself, that way you'll make sure that won't forget anything. And if you forgot something you have no body to blame... Thank you for your response !!!

I have been doing most of our packing when it is a long trip. I have to prepare for all needs. However before having my kid when I went with my hubby then I packed the things at home and my hubby has to bring the bag to my office and then we have to go for outing. when I reached the resort I found my clothes changed. He changed it according to his choice. After having a baby, for me and my baby I pack and for my hubby I collect the things at a place and he packs according to his need because whenever we went for a long trip he has to attend some official meetings.

LOL, after being married to hubby for 23 years now, he's learned that it's best not to make comments like that. Rushing the packer just does not work well. All it takes is ONE occurance of leaving HIS underwear at home & they appreciate your packing skills a LOT more, lol. We've taken alot of trips over the years, so I have mine down to a routine. Everything is gathered the day before so hubby can start loading the truck while I make the rounds of the house to make sure I didn't miss anything important. At the same time, I'm making sure that the lights get turned off and the security alarm is turned on. Hubby has the truck warming when I carry down the last of the things we are taking with us. Since hubby has to check under the hood before any long trips, we're both too busy with our assigned tasks for him to even think about saying, "What took you so long?" By being prepared ahead of time, and sharing the tasks, we can typically be on the road within 30 to 45 minutes after waking up, lol. :)

You are really a very sweet person !!!! There's always somebody who's relax and doing nothing while another person has to running around to get things ready like mad. My brother and my youngest sister did exactly the same....relax and do nothing. But as you said, we will forget (hopefully...hehehe) once we get into the journey and enjoy their companies. Can't live with them and can't live without them...

Actually, I just got back from a trip. I was in Arizona for a couple of weeks. I love it!! I had a great time, and I want to go back as soon as possible. I planned it on my own, and flew solo. I needed some time away, and so I just got up and went!

I always pack for everyone, but I make my husband pick out his clothes! I hate doing everything but if I wait for him it will never get done. On our last trip I forgot to bring any shorts for my son and any jeans for my daughter. I felt so bad we had to go out and buy them some!! My husband doesn't complain though he is thankful that I am doing everything for him!

I usually prepare everything for everyone. The week before I make sure I talk to my partner about what clothes he wants to take with us so I can make sure that they're washed and clean. I organize the kids clothes, I get them some things to keep them occupied if its a long trip, and I organize routes, especially if I know there may be delays along the way. I try to make sure that the car is packed the night before so that all we have to remember on the day are the essentials such as toothpaste, hair brushes and so on. It makes things so much easier when we can just get up and go without wondering if we packed the kitchen sink lol.

So, basically you do the whole preparation. Your patner's lucky to have you to organize it. Thumbs up !!! Thank you for your respond !!!

Since my husband works a regular job, I am the one who makes sure everything is ready and packed. As well, since I am the one who is the organizer, and can pack efficiently, I also pack our vehicle to get the maximum effect of things placed where I will need to get to them respectively. I let him do the unloading though.

Wow, you packed your vehicle too. Good for you because I still have problems with that. If my husband let me, he'll probably won't see us in the car....hehehe. Thank you for your response !!!

I prepare everything for the trip. Days before the trip, i would make a list of everything my family will need for the trip. Some i would prepare days in advance, and then some hours before the trip. The things that i have already prepared, i would cross them from my list.

I usually do it all. I start making a list of things to take/pack about 3 weeks in advance. Then I start packing 2 days ahead of the trip. Most of the time we travel on our motorcycle so the packing is limited, but we always arrive with what we need and maybe a few extras. It's really the first time he's had someone like me around and he appreciates not having to worry about packing, as he works long days and I work part-time plus starting my own business.

yes, he's certainly lucky to have you. Most of people don't really like preparing things. I think everybody deserve to have a geenie in a bottle...all we have to do just wish that everything is ready in a blink of an eye. Thank you for your respond !!!

We don't really go anywhere very often but when we do, it's always me who prepares everything. My partner is either at work or doesn't want to come with us when we go anywhere. I don't mind doing things like preparing picnics, etc. but it would be nice if he could at least watch the children while I get things done. Sometimes I'll ask my oldest sone to help with things. We don't drive so the travel is one more thing to arrange. I always do that too. If I leave it to my partner, we'll just get whatever travel tickets and things we need on the day and get places when we happen to be there so I have to arrange it all otherwise we're rushing around for half the day before we do anything!

Normally, I would do prepare the stuffs first before packing it up the bag. I would line it up on the floor and my hubby's duty is to pack the stuffs in the bag. I would be the one who would decide what to bring for the whole family. My hubby always complained that we would be bringing to much for the trip. You know, travelling eespecially with children... There's always going to be accidents like they spill something on their clothes and soil them etc... men just don't understand this sometimes... I prefer my children to look clean rather than eeeky... Men!!

For me eversince I have a child, I'm in charge for all the baby needs etc, My bags and food. My husband is responsible for his own stuff and everything else that we need for the holiday like camera, my son high chair etc... He also normally be the one who decide where and when we go on holiday well we have to go by his schedule as I'm self-employed and do my work from home so I'm more flexible...xx
