Do you still listen to the radio every day right now? Since television, cable, and DVD technology, I admit that I rarely listen to radio, although radio also very update in entertainment, and news. And I only listen radio when in my car going somewhere.
How about you? Still listen to the radio or already switch to TV and cable ?

I probably liten to the radio more than I watch television, mainly because there are very few television programs that appeal to me at the moment but I can always tune in to Classic FM and get the kind of music that I enjoy.
Whenever I am at the computer I tend to play music from the hard drive, but it makes a change hearing something different on the radio now and then.

I always listen to the radio whenever it is
possible . I listen to local radio , FM radio
and also shorwave radio . Radio listening has
been my first love since my childhood .
The following is from my own blog :
-----------------------------------------------
The portable Radio is the friend of common man .
It is an adjunct to living . It forms background
for our normal day-to-day activities .
It is not continuously listened to , but it
plays while we work ;sings while we eat ;
produces running sounds for desultory reading ;
sing in the front when we drive ; melodifies
the toilet ; and sees to it that there is
no silence at any time .
The discovery of radio added a huge dimension
to the state of mass communication .
Simultaneous broadcasting of the spoken
and recorded word & music to millions of
people in far flung places became a reality
and a single big step in the direction of
evolving a global village . Because of its
radiation potentiality radio helps to
rush
news to people on the move as also to distant
audiences .
Reinforced by powerful transmitters on land
and satellites in the sky , and the availability
of cheap receiver sets , the radio has become
the principal medium of mass communication ,
entertainment and distant education in
developing countries .
As a comparatively low cost spoken
word medium ,
Radio has cut across the barriers of illiteracy .
The portable radio receiver has become a
constant companion for farmers , workers ,
travellers and sports lovers . It is a best
companion for all those who are interested
in news , music , drama , quizzes , farm
bulletins , or views of eminent persons on
public affairs . Because of its low cost
and easy availability , radio is a common
people's paradise .

not really, i will listen to the radio when i was in the car going somewhere around town. But if the car got cd player, i'll listen from my favorite cd and not listen to the radio. Every sunday at 2 to 4pm, i'll listen to chinese radio show, because at that time, the japanese song from jpop to jrock including the korean songs will be air. So,i just wait untill 2 pm until 4pm to listen it, after that i switch off the radio.

I don't listen to the radio everyday, but sometimes, perhaps once a week, after I'm done with all my chores, I'll sit on the couch and turn the radio on. But admittedly, I'll channel surf and see what's on tv first. I will listen to the radio before the tv when a sudden disaster hits, such as an earthquake, but after a while, I'll switch over to television news.

Now that we are able to download music from the computer and you can find anything you need offline such as cancellations or weather reports , I never listen to the radio anymore . They changed our local station a couple of years ago and when they did this , it was hard to get the channel to come in very clear and was a pain when you wanted to know something and we ended up looking for everything online and when we moved and were able to get the channel much clearer , we were so used to finding everything we needed online , so got out of the habit of listening to the radio :)

I do listen to the radio on and off. When we're driving, I like listen to the radio for the latest news about the traffic to help us to decide which way/road to take.

Yes I Still listen to Radio. Not always but still once in a while. There is this maid in my house who still sticks to radio. When I go to the kitchen to help her out I listen to the songs and the news aired by radio. It gives a sense of travelling back in time. It makes me feel good. I think you should listen to the radio once in a while I bet you'll enjoy it.

The switch to cable and tv is there. But I have renewed my interest in the radio recently too. i drive to work everyday and listen to the radio going and coming back. Ive begun to realize that it certainly plays a lot of good music.

radio! yes. you can put it on when you are working, driving, going to sleep, unwinding or doing nothing!
have you realized how involved you have to be watching video entertainment. instead you can keep doing what you are and still be entertained by the radio. you know what is going to play when you listen to a cd or a casste, but with radio there is always surprise.
i have been hooked to the radio since i was a child. no other way of entertainment can replace radio in my life.
