The usual problems the way our education is implemented may depend on school budget and capable teachers. In my country, private schools are of course, more commercialized. They tend to be more expensive since they claim that quality education is all worth it. In public schools, teachers, capable ones or mediocre tend to just do the job because it's what they do.

It is all just a matter of opinion. There are excellent public schools and private schools. There are also terrible public and private schools. I went to a public school for a short period and though the classes were smaller the teachers where no better then the ones at the private school. And alot of small private schools out there also are lacking in nice books, etc because they don't get any government help and base everything off student tuition. Consider the utilities for the school, taxes if any, and extremely over paid teachers- there was never much left for the students. Plus, and I know this isn't the same everywhere, but where I live there is alot of diversity - but it only seems that "whites" go to our local private schools. That's not what I want for my children. I want them in a diverse setting that gives them the chance to make friends with all sorts of people from different backgrounds. Plus, I feel that children can get an excellent education even in a poor public school - it just depends on how involved the parents are. If you just leave your childrens education soley in the hands of strangers - then you may not be too happy in the end.

I must disagrew with most of what has been posted. Yes, public schools are usually more crowded. There can be & often is just as much bullying in a private school. A private school teacher can be a worse teacher that may just be higher paid. Everyone I know who went to a private school has parents who complained about the money they wasted there. I had a graduating class of 12 in 8th grade. The teachers were horrible over all & could not be bother ed to even teach most of the time. We opened oyr math book a dozen times at most the whole year. I would have been better off in a public school. I know a # of parents who wish they would have sent their kids to public schools instead. This involves more than 1 state & age level of kids.

Public schools are just crowded. And a lot more bullying goes on in public schools. It's harder to learn in public schools because the classes are so much bigger, so if the child needs help, the teacher can't always give them that little bit of attention to help them understand the task at hand.

based on my observation here in my country, public schools here are overpopulated and lack facilities(books, laboratory apparatus, computers, chairs, etc.). private schools would be the opposite.
