Quite possibly the best movie I have ever seen!!

Ahoo! Ahoo! Ahoo! I totally loved the movie. Haven't really been touched by an action flick for a long time. I watched it with my beau without any expectations of the movie. He was very excited but I was just like, "ok let's watch that for the sake of watching a movie" but boy oh boy. I almost jumped from my chair everytime the spartans yell, "AHOO!" I loved Frank Miller's manner of telling a story. I loved the exagerations, the fictional touches of it. It was like reading a comic book on film. It's so brutal and yet you wouldn't feel grossed out. Cinematography is plain marvelous. They also made use of an effect which they call "crush" and this gives the film itself a comic-like atmosphere (noticed the saturation of the film?). They said that they wanted to give the audience a distinct feel to it so as when they see the movie, they will not say that, "ah, that is Greece or that is Canada" they will say, "that's 300". I actually wanted to say that I am a Spartan. Can I be Gorgo? Haha! I have new-found respect for the Spartans. Their discipline and patriotism is impeccable.

"the battle scenes are amongst the most graphic I have ever witnessed" That's all you had to say to convince me to go see it. Thanks for posting this, I am sure a lot of people were wondering about it :]

To be honest with you, I didn't have a clue what this movie was or is about. But I continue to hear nothing but Awesome reviews about it so I guess I'll break down and check it out.

i haven't seen it yet, but my brother has said the same thing, that it is a great movie and highly recommends it too. maybe i will have to fork up the money to go see it.

i've seen clips of this-god,it must be mindblowing at imax.it looked unbelieveable just on the tv.

300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..
