You have to admit, even if you like Sanjaya, that he shouldn't still be in the contest with the others who are much better singers. If Sanjaya wins because of all this Howard Stern publicity would you boycott the show next year? I think it's not the shows fault however, maybe they should change the rules and let viewer vote only once or something like that.

I would still watch the show and i wouldnt even be surprized lol. Honestly I think once it gets to a certain point I think he will go home. I think for now he gets votes because people find him fun to watch. I know I know its a singing competion tell those voting for him. The first great singer that gets sent home will wake people up I hope. And I have never voted for Sanjaya just in case you wanted to know.

Sanjaya is a sweet kid, he does have a nice voice, but on stage, not good. I mean, have voters seen and heard the other idols?? COme on, Sanjaya should've been the first to go, even he was astounded to still be in the competion! I think American Idol lets the public vote too early on in the competion. The judges should narrow it down to 3 idols, and then let the public vote.

I won't boycott it, but I will lose respect for it. However, I am optimistic that he will eventually go away. I can not see America legitimately voting for him throughout the entire thing. SOme of the guest judges and themes are going to be Jennifer Lopez, Jon Bon Jovi, and Toni Bennett, I'm sure he will falter enough on these to make the American public make a choice.

I wouldn't boycott it. I think that even if Sanjaya wins , the really good singers are the ones who will make it in there music careers. Sanjaya is the new David Cassidy!

I would definately boycott AI; they screwed it up last year and I'm determined to make sure that bull crap doesn't happen again. I hate the sound of Taylor and Katherine's voices; Chris Daughtry should have won and everybody knows it!

There was a whole controversey with Chris Daughtry getting kicked off. Apparently when people we voting for him they ended up getting Katherine's voice thanking them for voting for her. Hmm. I'm already losing interest simply because of the Sanjaya factor. People are forgetting that American Idol is a singing contest. I could careless if the person is attractive or has a good personality. I watch the show to hear people SING DECENTLY. Not murder various songs.

I think Howard Stern is delusional in thinking he has that much power. I wouldn't boycott the show for any reason, except if I lost interest in it altogether.

No, I won't boycott it, but I will probably lose interest in it. Unless Sanjaya significantly improves, he shouldn't win. Lakeisha and Melinda are the best singers and if he wins over them with the way he's singing now, then there's some kind of problem. I will be voting more from now on, though.

I agree. I don't like that people can vote over and over. I've tried to vote and couldn't get thru because some people dial over and over and over. I don't have that kind of time! Vote once and leave it alone! If he wins I don't think we'll watch anymore. My husband and I are both irritated that he hasn't been kicked off yet when people that sing better are having to go home because of people voting to see if they can get Sanjaya to win even though he shouldn't. I don't know why he doesn't just leave since he looks like a clown on there now. People are voting for him not because he's good but because he ISN'T. I know I wouldn't want to win that way.
