Unfortunately, companies put inane statements like that in writing beacuse some people sue them for inane reasons.
Remember the lady that sued NcDonald's because she spilled her hot coffee on herself, while driving. She actually won the lawsuit. Puts a whole new meaning on "Don't Drink and Drive'!
Ladder companys put warnings on their ladders about the danger of putting the ladder on a slippery substance, as a man once sued because he put the ladder on a pile of dog poop, it slipped, he fell, he sued, and won.
Perhaps a memebr of someone's family disagreed with the family about cremating a loved one's body and tried to sue the Crematorium for not getting the entire family's permission to do so. You never know!!

"They told me at the blood bank this might happen."
- "This is just a 15 minute power nap like they raved about in that time management course you sent me to."
- "Whew! Guess I left the top off the Wite-Out. You probably got here just in time!"
- "I wasn't sleeping! I was meditating on the mission statement and envisioning a new paradigm."
- "I was testing my keyboard for drool resistance."
- "I was doing a highly specific Yoga exercise to relieve work-related stress. Are you discriminatory toward people who practice Yoga?"
- "Darn! Why did you interrupt me? I had almost figured out a solution to our biggest problem."
- "The coffee machine is broken."
- "Someone must've put decaf in the wrong pot."
- "... in Jesus' name. Amen."

um, thanks for stating the somewhat obvious. It's a joke, that's why it was started under the sharing jokes. I just think it's funny for us simple minded folks. Sorry you didn't appreciate it. :) I think it's the same as the one in the product labels discussion I've started wherein companies in order to avoid lawsuits put such obvious warnings on their products at the risk of making their buyers seem stupid.

Pretty smart of those companies to do that. LOL Thanks for the laugh. I liked your other one about companies warnings. ;)
