How to make full use of my internet connection?

Hi friends, Recently I got an ADSL connection. I try to find some works to do online. But was unable to find a good work. It's very important if I can use this connection for a useful work rather than wasting time. I just want to use this connection to help people and at the same time to earn some cash to pay my ADSL bill worth $25. For about 3 or 4 months I have done nothing. I was very disappointed with this. Can I use this connection for a useful work or to help people or any kind of a meaningful work? Dear friends, Please give me your ideas to make my connection meaningful and to take maximum advantage. I really need to use this for a meaningful task. Your ideas are honestly welcome.
