What are the requirement to be a Web Developer.

I am interested in Web Site Development. But Does'nt know what should I do. I financial condition is not to join any institute or college to get degree. What should be the next option in your opinion.

Well if you are intrested in front end buy some books or use to get solid foundations in
XHTML
HTML 5
CSS
CSS 3
Javascript
Jquery
Then try and get a portfolio going with websites or templates (Show off your skills) and at the point you could go freelance or quite easily get a job in a company. Just make sure you stick to accessibility and markup regulations as companies hate cowboy coders

Trades schools can teach you everythign you need to know but now its become harder and harder where I live to find a job in the field you have been working in unless you have atleast a bachelors degree. Especially in my area its waht they call a employers market cause there are so few jobs they can pick and choose whoever they want.
