I'm a first year medical student. I attend college for all the reasons you have stated. The most important being career and knowledge.

In my country (Philippines), it's easier to find a better, high-paying job if you're a degree holder. =)

knowledge at the time of joining college is the primary objective but lately it changes to meeting friends, joy , career and etc etc
