What type of guilds to you prefer? Elite (60+) or friendly?

I've found that most guilds for levels 60-70 are rather mean and are only really there to grind and to do dungeon runs. They tend not to help people out with quests, items etc. Have any of you come across this? Is it better to have a guild for your basic levels (0-60) that is friendly and willing to help out? And when you reach 60, do you leave to a more "elite" guild. It seems that's what a lot of people do.
What do you think?

Well, I think it is better to have pals in the game who are of the same level or close enough in level to run with so when one encounters those challenging quests or group participation scenarios, it's easier to call on a few pals to lend a hand.
People will leave a guild if their in-game needs are not being met. If they want to raid, they will seek out the successful raiding guilds. That is as it should be.
Wow is a game for which we pay a fee to play, and one should maximize one's enjoyment of the game

Depends on what you are looking to get out of the game. Part of the misconception that raiding guilds are "rather mean" comes from the current implementation of end-game raiding - not much time to help the lower levels with stuff when all your free time has to be spent farming for the next raid.

The first guild I ever joined was a "friendly" type, when I was about level 40. Not that I joined many instance runs with them, but they were willing, helpful, and we were like a small family. When I became 60, I thought smaller instances and lower equipment wasn't enough for me (the greed..) and joined the best guild of server. I was getting more powerful with the new stuff I got regularly, but I soon regretted joining them because I realized (except for a bunch of friends) the community was quite rotten. I got exteremely bored of the game, and eventually quit. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't leave my first guild.

I think it depend's on the way u play yourself cause im in a guild with about 10 to 15 lvl 60 to 70s in it and they are great real helpful.they see me helping lower lvl people and have no proplems helping me.So i say what comes around gose around and don't join a guild cause of lvl
