Should soda Manufacturers have to modify their product to be more healthy?

I keep hearing that soda is bad for me. The news keeps saying it's bad for your teeth and bones. Should soda mfgs have to modify their soft drinks like restaurants are being asked to change the cooking oils they use?

I think people know soda isn't healthy. It's their choice to drink it, no one is forcing them. I kind of wonder how soda could possibly be modified. At least on the oils, it tastes the same. I doubt soda would be as good healthy (ever tried the healthy sodas?).
