I am graduating college in May with my BA degree. Im job searching right now and would love to hear some ideas from all of you. What do you do job wise? What requirements were needed? Do you need experience? Hows the pay? Do you like what you do? Plan to advance or move on in your career?

For me I worked construction and factory jobs for the most part of my life then I went into resturant work. But after years of that I got tired of that and decided to start an at home business so I am now reconditioning car batteries. Yes that is right I have a guest house with attached garage and that is where I work from..It is set up with computer,tv sink, etc. I am busy remodeling it cause hopefully by the end of summer the sitting area will also be a small dollar store style shopping area. so that is my dream job, believe me I had to get a loan to do this but in the long run I think it will be my last job.

I'm a language teacher and yes I like it though so many challenges inside and outside of my class. Many issues to deal with regarding culture, accent, qualification, learning and teaching style, students' performance, lesson planning, disruptive students and the like. But no matter what I love my job and I enjoy teaching kids. That's the most important. If you love your job you don't feel tired of it. Those challenges are normal parts of it. Without them life would be boring and stale. Advance in my career? I am finishing my master in education TESOL and that's one of my milestones recently. I feel that I need to upgrade if I want to peak my performance.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, rarrimalion! ^___^ As for me, I'm a licensed engineer but got a job that's totally out of league! I now work as a Software Engineer (believe me, it's just synonymous names but it's nowhere near what i've studied in college) in an international I.T. firm. It's not so bad, it pays pretty good (i think wherever you are in the world, we have an office there - in case you'd like to apply! haha). Here in the Philippines, they accept newly grads and even without experience yet. the work's mostly programming. I'm still enjoying what i do so i'm so sad that i don't get to work in my field, really. (~_^)

Hey RIML Congrats on your up coming graduation way to go chickie :thumbs up: I currently work from home as a customer service agent The requirements are basically you need a pc w/ high speed internet, a landline phone, a good phone voice & lots of patience LOL The pay is average but I think it's great considering I basically work when I want to & don't have to deal w/ the drama in a standard working environment I like what I do alright,I mean it's nice when you feel like you've helped someone but the a-hole's suck the bag It would be nice if I could advance w/ the companies I contract for Good Luck to You in your job search! +'s 4 U

Hey, I am a clinical psychologist and soon I will get my degree as a criminologist. I must say I do enjoy my job as a psychologist. It makes me feel usefull. I know that by the end of the day I can help people through my profession and that is very rewarding.
