Do You Find Reading English Translated Novels easier than Original Novels?

As a non native speaker, I found reading the translation of non english world literature is easier than original english literature, maybe because the translator might simplified things while translating ... What do you think?

Hi sanglant. I agree with you. Translated books are easier to read than the original ones and I think this is true for most languages. My first book that I read in English was "madame Bovary" which is an English translation from French and it was easy for me to read it.
