I was coming out of the grocery store when I heard yelling and swearing. i looked ove r about10 feet and saw this poor pld man nearly in tears, trying to get into his car and these two guys(I can't call them men because they were scum) in a truck yelling at him. "This isn't a F***ingparking lot! ( it actually was but was immediately in front of the store)Get the F#*# out of the way you stupid old Sh**. Who the F*** let you drive." The passenger was in the process of getting out of his car when I saw this. He shouted at the man"if you don't move your F***ing car right now you're gonna be sorry!" What made me mad was that there were at least a dozen people standing there, just watching this. I quickly stepped in front of the truck and stared down the guy getting out." Go ahead, hit him, but you go through me! "I yelled. I was never so scared in years. The guy looked at me, and got back into the truck. By now the old man was in his car. His wife was in tears, and they thanked me for helping. and they slowly drove off. I saw the truck a few minutes later in front of a burger place in thesame strip mall. All this anger because it made them 2 minutes late to get a burger? It made me wish I had arock to throw at the windshield.

I really don'tcare ifa mythical god is happy about what I did or not. i am only hoping that someone will do the same for my parents who live 3000 miles away from me. Its what my parents taught me to do, and I would, and will do it again.

People amaze me. Unfortunately I don't always mean that it a good way. Even more unfortunately, 80% of the time I'm amazed in a very "WTF is wrong with you people" kind of way. I am very glad that you had the nerve to stand up to these two bullies. And, I applaud you for it. But, I am even more amazed at the behavior these two displayed in the first place. Have we, as society, become so incredibly hurried that we can't bring ourselves to wait a couple minutes to get fast food??? What are earth is that all about?! Such rage, and for what? What possible good did it do for anyone (including the anger ones)? They raise their blood pressure, they hurt other people with their words (I don't care waht anyone says, sticks and stones, broken bones ~ those will heal. Words hurt much longer, and create much deeper scars). Heck, now I'm angry with them, and I wasn't even there! Anyway, way to go Judy!!

I won't stand for anyone bullying others, no matter who. Even if its the cops, I speak up! Its probably because i was bullied as a child.

I'm proud of you Judy!!! You should've also gotten their licence plate & called the cops. Heck, I'd've probably been on my cell while standing in front of their truck & calling the cops! That way they could talk to the police about threats (which can escalate to a crime & most cops if they see them will pull them over & question them.)

Ah, the cops wouldn't have come! they don't come unless it actually gets violent here, and often not even then. They are too busy to settle silly little squables.

People can be so cruel and you are lucky you stepped in otherwise they may have done something, some people will call you foolish for stepping in because you put yourself in danger but I beleive that so many crimes happen today because people would rather turn a blind eye.I hope the old couple were ok later that would have really shaken them up.I hate mongrels like that I hope they get the same treatment when they are elderly!

Couple litle punks I am sure, what men would really act that way to an elderly couple. The fact they would bully an old couple and didnt try to start anything with you shows they were nothing more than little punk a$$ bullies. I try to stay in the non violent category but when you see things like that it makes you want to put some boot to someones behind thats for sure.

Sadly, they weren't young punks. they must have been over 30. and it really must have surprised them that a 56 year old 5'3" woman would stand up to them like that. I'll laugh about it tomorrow, but today, i'm shaking with anger and adrenolin. I really thought that guy was going to come at me. He'd have been in for a rude surprise if he had!

I do not understand why some people are so rude or in a rush.Respect use to mean something but for some people it no longer exists.Thank you for helping that man and it is a shame others did not help you.

I just must commend you on your bravery, It took a lot of guts and caring for you to step in like that. Like you said, dozens of people were around and no one helped this poor man. Sad to say, too often, people tend to mind their own business, or they're too afraid to step up and help another person in need. You took a big risk for your own safety, but it paid off.And as far as those two animals are concerned, "what goes around, comes around".Someday and I hope it's soon, they'll pay for their cowardly and cruel treatment of others. God bless you, there should be more people like you.

this is terrible. i am glad you did help this old man. seems the truckdriver was frustrated and yelled at this old man to get rid f his frust. its not right to treat old people that way. they have raised us, did work for us and they deserve to have a better life now and not such rudeness. no wonder so many old people are sad and afraid of going out of the house. thank you for helping him

Thank god you helped with them,. I also encountered that before when some a car owner was so angry with a taxi driver that accidentaly hits her car., the car owner was so pissed that he even hits the windshield of the cab driver. The traffic enforcer didn't do anything for that matter. I hate that people take advantaged to other people just because they are superior to others.

Nobody is superior to others, especially people who would treat an old man with such little respect.

When I hear stories like this I feel like crying. Old people give so much, and get so little in return. Their bodies are rundown and they aren't as fast as they like to be, on top of other things. Sometimes the elderly will have no family or no one at all and they will be all alone in the world, and no one will ever talk or them or help them in their time of need. All they usually want is just someone to be kind to them, to talk to them. We visited the nursing home once near Christmas and delivered presents to the elderly who had no friends or family, and they were just so happy to see us, even if they didn't know our names or had no clue who we were. Old people just want to be treated kindly, like everyone else wants. But people are busy and only care about themselves, and don't care who they hurt that's in their way. It's just sickening. People like this make me want to scream. I mean, everyone only has one life, and I don't think it should be wasted by treating others like crap. People have their priorities all wrong.

Ehhhhh its funny how people will just sit there and not say anything to you.My stories reveresed. There was an old man yelling at a kid at the gas station cause his mom parked the wrong way.I didn't say anything when he yelled at first but when he rode around the island's to yell at the kid more i lost it."you have something to say be a man and wait for the mom to come out!! what's the kid got to do or going to do about it" the guy left without another word.Right before i was about to leave the same man who had let the old man out came over and said z"i love your big mouth no one else would have said anything" i respnded with sadly i know.

That was so awesome for you to come to the man's aid as that was a terrible thing for those two losers to do to this older guy. We need more wonderful and caring people like yourself to help others in need. That was also very brave of you as well as you put yourself at risk as well and fortunately they took off. It is amazing what people will do to just get something so minor and small as a burger or whatever else.

Judy you are awesome for stepping up the way you did and taking up for those people. If more people would do that the world would be a better place to live. There is little enough respect for other people in our world , and NOT nearly enough people to step in.Hopefully someone wont treat them like that when they are elderly.

I think you're a very good person for helping the man, the world needs more people like you. Sadly enough these days people that try to help others are often beaten badly and even killed, just because they tried to do good.

You would be surprised whatyou would do when someone makes you very angry! I think that probably its people like you who do stand up to bullies. My son seems to think that if that man had stepped towards ME, a middle aged woman, more people would have stepped up. and I think he is probably right.
