When my friend's only child was 8 months old, 2 doctors found out that her little one had a hole in her heart. But after 5 months of medication, the baby is now healthy and happy. The hole in the heart is gone. Could this be a miracle? An answered prayer? A wake up call, a turning point for the parents? What do you think?
I have to mention here that before my friend and her husband learned about their daughter's plight their marriage was falling apart. Now everything seems working out well between them.

No, this happensquiteoften When a child isstill inside its mother there is a direct link fron the umbilical cord to the heart, and thisis where the hole sits. These holes usually close up before the baby is born, but in somecases, it doesn't close completely, However in 95% of those cases, the hole is completely gone by age 3

A heartmurmur is what it sounds like that you just described. A hole in the heart is a heartmurmur that some babies are born with and in most cases the heartmurmur heals and corrects itself in time before the child hits a certain age. My son had a tiny little hole in his heart and the doctor called it a heartmurmur and his closed up by the time he was 9 months old. It's not a big deal, they monitor it on well check ups and that is about it.
