I think it is fine as long as they don't get too cranky during the later part of the day =) I am sure you don't want them to give up naps (I love the "quiet time") but if they are really fighting them I would give them up for a few days and see how everything goes. My son did that for awhile befor he turned two and I was so upset thinking I wasn't going to get my little break during the day, but he ended up falling asleep at like 6pm every time I let him skip his nap, so now he is back on track!! Lucky me =)

I also like to have my "quiet time" but if I dont get them to take a nap, I just have to give it up as well. Maybe you're right. I just have to see how everything goes. If I still dont succeed in having them take naps, my only next step I guess would be to make them sleep early and have my "me time" after they are all asleep. =)

My daughter is almost 5 and getting her to take a nap is like pulling teeth. I think its just fine for them not to have a nap through the day. They tend to get very tired and very cranky, but if you can deal with that it just means an earlier bedtime. Which can be very good for you! LOL

My 3 yr old daughter tends to get cranky but my 4 yr old son does not so even if I make my daughter have a nap, my son would still be playing or making other noise. And we can all hear so my daughter just rolls around the bed and doesnt sleep at all. So I agree with what you said. I just deal with it and just let them go to bed early.

My daughter is 2 yrs old and I always make sure that she takes a nap in the afternoon coz I know that's good for little children. The best way to make them nap is to tire them from playing =) For sure they'll find sleepy afterwards. That's my technique especially if I want my daughter to take a nap earlier in the evening. Though it may not also bad if they won't take a nap but, it will be still better for their health if they do nap everyday. =)

I have a 16 month old baby and she is the only one who takes the nap. I believe that she really needs it more than my other two kids. I agree that tiring them out would be effective but I limit the noise coz my other neighbors in the apartment building might complain. So I really cant tire them out so much.
