should students smoke at school ?

Well, we all know of peer pressure. Kids think it is cool to smoke, especially in a forbidden place, like school. There is nothing we can really do about it besides preach to them how bad smoking can be. There are always going to be them students who break the law, and I think that is when the parents should step in. Parents these days do not have much control of their children and that is the main problem.

I feel the faculty at this school needs to get together and figure out a plan of action. Stick to the plan and stop this type of behavior. They are underage bring in law enforcement if they have to but get it stopped. If children don't feel they have to follow the rules it only gets worse for everyone.

In our school you can see plenty of students smoking outside the campus grounds. Whenever their is a break most of these smokers hang-out in the nearby store to smoke. I guess it doesn't matter if they smoke as long as it is not inside the campus. There are also places where smoking is prohibited and we must follow the rules for our own good. It is still better to stick on these rules and regulations.

When I was in school it didn't matter how things were managed, kids were still gonna smoke. I can't imagine that has changed much. There will always be that group of kids that will do anything as long as its against the rules. If I were a teacher and saw this I would obviously put a stop to it. But, you can't stop everyone.

I think all the school should enforce a more stricter rules banning students from smoking inside the school. Granted that the school as well as the teacher cannot control the student's bad smoking habit, the least that the students can do is to smoke outside the school. They should know the meaning of respecting a school.

I don't really understand that question. Students should not smoke anywhere. As a matter of fact adults should not smoke anywhere. It is simply too dangerous a habit and one day I can see it outlawed completely. Maybe not in this generation, but hopefully the next.

smoking is illegal anywhere on high school campuses here. Its been banned for ahwile. Seeing as how you have to be 18 to buy cig's anyway, most students shouldnt legally be smoking to begin with and the school shouldnt support illegal acts (even tho we all know teens smoke)
