How much longer do you think they will be able to continue?

The simpsons have been on the air since 1989, and I would like to know how much longer others think they are going to continue to come up with new episodes? I think they will remain on the Air for eternity :)

That would be Ideal I think, I don't think the simpsons will ever get old. I'm probably going to own every season, and watch them until I die.

lol he's not going to die, he's gonna pull a walt disney and freeze himself, so that he may someday come back to find that he is a multi-trillionaire. :P

Actually I think that the show will continue as long as they do not run out of ideas for this dysfunctional family.
The creator of the show once was asked this very question and he responded by saying that as long the show is making profit, the show will continue.

The Simpsons have pretty good creatores; sometimes they keep us hooked for hours on end. How good will the new movie that is being released be? Maybe people can chip in ideas into the realm and Simpsons will become more diverse than it already presently is. The character numbers are also just right; not too many and not not-enough main characters. Hopefully this wonderful TV series that is so well-made will stay on our radio waves for a long while yet! Just a question, what time does Simpsons appear in your city? Is it primetime viewing?

i personally think tey will still run for a few seasons, but maybe they could try to get some of the edge back. The last episodes just seem to be lacking in the critical vision of the previous series. It's still a funny show, but they need to get back to their roots :)

yeah they seem to be edging away from the original humor, hopefully this is just because they are stuck in a rut, and they will be able to make a come back next season.

For eternity definitely. The Simpson's are like the best thing for cartoons ever. They're so funny i don't mind watching reruns. we don't have the latest season here, so all i watch are reruns. hehehe and they're aired twice a day.. XD sad thing is i watch them both times.. heheheh
