Do You Shed A few Tears When Your Cat Dies?

It was a few weeks ago that my friends cat had to be taken to the vet to have it examined and was found to have a large growth inside. The vets suggestion was that an operation was not going to cure the problem and indicated ( but never suggested ) that the cat should be put down due to the pain that the cat was going through. So after a few tormented minutes it was decided that the cat should be put to sleep. My partner cried quite a lot later and I shed a couple of tears for her loss rather than for the cat.
Best wishes for all you pet lovers from Deeeky.

My cat is 10 years old, and in good health, thankfully, but I am sure I will be a basket case for a few days when he does pass away. Darn, I'm actaully getting a little choked up just thinking about it!
Sorry, have to move on to happier posts.

It is human nature to shed tears when something or someone has passed there is a certain amount of love for cats because they will lay in your lap and they will purr and you know that they are happy and when they are injured it is almost as if you have taken on the pain they are feeling it is odd I notice that people cry alot more over cats then certain other animals,so I can only guess that it is because of a bond that humans feel needed when they have a cat.Sorry to hear that the cat had to be put to sleep and I am sure the cat is in no pain and doing great.
