Are you happy with the performance of our present president?

I strongly disagree with a lot of what's going on in the white House and am glad that elections are coming up. Who would you like to see in the White House and why?

As for us here in the Philippines, we strongly suggest that a new breed of senators be at the forefront of the upper house of congress.

I can truly appreciate that sentiment because it would appear that anything would be better than the way things are going now. It seems we are spiraling down the path of total destruction at record breaking speed.

Lady,
I also disagree with a lot of what's going on in the White House and current administration from DAY ONE; what I mean is the way the election turned out; I watch the conventions, campaign trails, see how folks are reacting and on Election Day, 2000, I was right there watching the results and I truly saw Florida initially go to Gore, which was a bit of a shock to me considering Bush's bro is the gov there; and then for the very first time in the history of our elections, see it GO to Bush and see the actual vote counting, as well as the 2004 debacle in Ohio too; Then, I live on the Gulf Coast and was affected by Katrina, and the way that situation was handled, I won't get into that because that's a whole other matter entirely. Then read Essence magazine a few months back and see Condi say she was real hurt that the black folks felt that Bush really didn't care about the folks here just made me shake my head on it all; but I still feel that she is needed where she is; I won't get into Iraq, but I tell you I served in the first war myself, and I wonder why we are there? Sadly, whomever takes over in 2009, will have to have a real good shovel to clean that up when the time comes because that will be a mess. As to who I want to see in the White House, hmm; I feel Obama has a chance although I feel perhaps he could use some more years under his belt, but then again, I think he could make a great president. It will be a tight race that's for sure.

It sounds like you have been reading my mind. I feel the same way. I too have immediate family affected by Katrina that still have not been helped. As for Obama yes he does need more under his belt and sadly enough almost anyone would be better than what we have now.
